The Story of Berman Health Club: Where Wellness, Movement, and Longevity Come Together

By Jenni Berman, PA-C, ABAAHP

When we opened the doors of Berman Physical Therapy in October 2015, we had one goal: deliver care in a way that corporate medicine no longer allowed—one patient, one provider, one plan that truly mattered. Every visit was hands-on. Every session was intentional. And from the very beginning, we were committed to staying out-of-network so insurance companies could never dictate how often we saw our patients or what type of care they “deserved.” Instead, we chose quality, time, personalization, and family-style relationships with the people who trusted us.

Five years later, in January 2020, after my own personal health journey, Berman Health and Wellness was born. It emerged from something deeply personal: years of gut issues, unresolved inflammation, bloating, hormonal challenges, and infertility struggles. I had spent years inside the walls of largecorporate systems—the same systems that trained me and shaped my early career. But these environments made one truth painfully clear:

Insurance-driven medicine was never designed to get to the root cause of anything.

It rewards quick visits, symptom-based prescriptions, and reactive treatments. It rarely allows the time, testing, or depth required to bring someone back to health—especially women facing gut dysfunction, hormone imbalances, metabolic challenges, or chronic fatigue.

Functional medicine changed my life. It brought answers, clarity, and actual results when nothing else had. And once I experienced that level of healing, I knew I had a responsibility to help one more person… then one more… and then one more.

Berman Health and Wellness grew from that mission.

Why We Stayed Out-of-Network

People often ask why both practices—now unified—have remained out of network. The answer is simple and unwavering:

Insurance is not focused on prevention, optimization, or longevity.

We are.

Being out-of-network allows us to offer:

  • Longer, meaningful one-on-one sessions

  • Hands-on interventions tailored to the individual

  • Preventative and therapeutic care without restrictions

  • A family-friendly environment where patients feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for

  • Highly trained providers who are not rushed, overbooked, or limited in their ability to treat

  • Access to modern, evidence-supported therapies insurers refuse to cover

Our model gives us the freedom to do what’s best for the patient—not what’s best for an insurance algorithm.

From Two Clinics to One Unified Mission: Introducing Berman Health Club

After nearly a decade of Berman Physical Therapy changing movement, mechanics, and mobility—and five transformative years of Berman Health and Wellness changing gut health, hormones, metabolism, sleep, and energy—it became clear that our patients were missing one essential thing:

A place where these two worlds came together.

Because true longevity requires both:

  1. Internal health — blood sugar control, hormone balance, gut restoration, metabolism support, inflammation reduction, and sustainable nutrition

  2. External function — efficient movement, joint integrity, reduced pain, stronger muscles, and resilient tissues that support a long, active life

When the inside and outside of the body are treated together, results are no longer temporary—they become lifelong.

To bridge that gap, we expanded our services and added Regenerative Therapy, allowing us to help patients heal faster, age gracefully, reduce chronic pain, and preserve the structure and function of their bodies for decades to come.

With this expansion and shared vision, the evolution was clear:

Berman Health and Wellness + Berman Physical Therapy = Berman Health Club

A place where wellness, physical therapy, regenerative medicine, and personalized care exist under one roof.

A place where you are treated as an individual—not a number.

A place where you get time, attention, and expertise at every appointment.

A place where your long-term health is the priority.

Why Berman Health Club Exists

Berman Health Club exists because:

  • People deserve better than symptom-band-aids.

  • Longevity requires more than exercise alone.

  • Health requires more than nutrition alone.

  • Insurance-based care is not designed for prevention, personalization, or long-term success.

  • Most patients have never experienced true one-on-one care—until they walk through our doors.

  • Our team is passionate about getting you results that last a lifetime.

Our story, as shared on The Berman Method Podcast, has always been rooted in one belief:

You can feel better, move better, and live better—at any age—when you are treated as a whole person.

That is what Berman Health Club stands for.

That is what our team delivers.

And that is the future of healthcare as it should be.
